BioChromix Pharma AB was founded as a subsidiary to BioChromix AB. The Company is a pharmaceutical company active in research and development of novel treatments for neurodegenerative disorders based on its proprietary technology for therapeutics. Current research and development is focused on the indication area of Alzheimer's disease but the prion diseases, Parkinson's disease and other neurodegenerative disorders might also be included in the future.

BioChromix Pharma is currently performing pre-clinical development but is looking to reach the clinical phase within the coming years. Alzheimer's disease is the most common neurodegenerative disease, affecting around 25 million people and the costs associated with AD are tremendous. At the moment, there are no efficient treatments for AD but there are clinical trials are ongoing and some are focused at reducing the levels of the neurotoxic Aß peptide.

The portfolio of the company includes a number of newly discovered lead compounds that are under investigation.
